how we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives
i like this idea, however, days are ebbs & flows.
you can be at the top of the world one month & feel like you’re at the bottom restarting the next.
think the main goal is to focus on spending your days in the best ways you can once obligations are done.
you never know how they will go but only you can guide the ship in the best direction.
how can we maximize our time here?
lately been thinking about that a ton.
how we only have 40-60 summers left, maybe less or maybe more, nothing is guaranteed.
weird to think of it like that.
summer seems to be the best months of the year in my eyes in terms of weather, life & energy.
how do you maximize every summer, every winter, and every day?
this is why when I pack up 4 hours before a flight and go to Mexico for 2 weeks to film big wave surfing & be with friends, i’m gonna do it every time I can.
i’d rather spend my money on adventures.
the memories are endless stories that I prefer over most things I can buy.
you very rarely ever regret a trip, a lot easier to regret a purchase.
seeing places that change my thoughts and daily routines are a great change of pace.
it improves my work and creativity.
going from the fast pace NYC to slow paced Mexico made me realize how fast I was living but never realized it. you’re lost in the moment. busy. time flies. then you spend time in a place that feels like slow motion. more time to think. it feels good. healthy. but you crave the fast pace speed so that 2 weeks feels like a month.
having the ability to work anywhere with wifi & cell service has its pros, especially when NYC might make you go insane some days.
time waits for no one.
that’s the reality of everything. we’re chasing time. how we spend our day impacts how the following days, weeks, months, and years will be impacted.
if you aren’t learning, you’re dying. i’ve always liked that concept in theory.
forces you to actually bring forth mental growth every day or you are actually going backwards from your God given potential.
most people are working with a cog in machine mentality drained from the ability to push forward.
hard to aim far out if you’re stuck in surviving today.
how we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives
